Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and protect personal data on sparqly.eu and the Sparqly platform.
1. Who we are
Sparqly Charging Technologies, S.L. (registration pending) (“Sparqly”, “we”, “us”) provides EV charging management software to charge point operators. The Spanish tax identifier and registered address will be added here before public go-live. Sparqly acts as the data controller for personal data collected through this website (sparqly.eu) and as a data processor for personal data handled on behalf of operator customers through the Sparqly platform.

2. Data we collect on this website
When you submit a demo request or contact form on sparqly.eu, we collect:
- Name (first and last)
- Work email address
- Company name and job title
- Network size and area of product interest
- Any context you choose to share about your deployment or evaluation
We also process IP address and browser metadata through standard web hosting and access logs.
3. How we use your data
We use your submission data to:
- Contact you about your demo request or enquiry
- Understand your operating context and prepare a relevant demonstration
- Follow up on your evaluation of the Sparqly platform
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use it for advertising.
4. Legal bases under GDPR
We process personal data collected through this website under the following legal bases (GDPR Article 6):
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): Where you provide your consent at the point of submitting a form, including the checkbox agreeing to be contacted.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): Responding to business enquiries and operating our commercial activities.
If you are a customer using the Sparqly platform, data processing within the platform is governed by our Data Processing Agreement, where Sparqly acts as processor under your instruction. Legal bases for that processing are set out in the DPA.
5. Data retention
- Demo and contact requests: Retained for up to 24 months from the date of submission or last contact, whichever is later.
- Platform customer data: Governed by your commercial agreement and applicable Data Processing Agreement. Data is retained for 90 days after contract termination to allow export, then deleted.
- Web server logs: Retained for up to 90 days for security and operational purposes.
6. Third-party processors
We use the following categories of service provider to operate this website and the platform:
- Hosting infrastructure: European cloud providers operating within the EEA
- Email delivery: For responding to demo requests and sending operational notifications
- Error monitoring: Automated technical error capture for platform reliability
- Payment processing: Payment service providers (Stripe and others) for processing platform subscription fees — subject to their own privacy policies
All processors are engaged under Data Processing Agreements consistent with GDPR Chapter V requirements.
7. International transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as approved by the European Commission under GDPR Article 46(2)(c).
8. Your rights under GDPR
You have the following rights in relation to your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erasure: Request deletion of your data, subject to legal obligations that require retention
- Restriction: Request that we limit how we use your data in certain circumstances
- Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing

9. Supervisory authority
If you believe we have not handled your personal data correctly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. A list of EU supervisory authorities is available at edpb.europa.eu.
10. Cookies
sparqly.eu sets only strictly necessary storage by default and does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Any non-essential category is off until you actively consent to it. Full detail, and the controls to review or change your choices at any time, are in our Cookie Policy.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. Material changes will be reflected with an updated effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the website or platform after the effective date of a material change constitutes acknowledgement of the updated policy.
